Just found your site. Well written and thought provoking. As a new blogger myself, it's good to know that their are folks out there who have been blazing the trail before me. Keep it up!

Ken,

While doing research, I came accross your comment criticizing Congress for the elimination of the Enron Loophole in June, 2008. (http://washingtontimes.com/news/2008/jun/24/enron-loophole-keeps-oil-speculation-unleashed/comments/). Specifically you stated...
"As this is a Worldwide problem, are we to assume that no commodity trading should occur any place else but in the U.S? Hello Congress? We are not alone in the world! U.S. regulation will not help - only an abundant supply will affect prices and speculation."

In all fairness I must ask, what happened to the price of Light Crude Oil (CL, NYMEX) when the Enron Loophole was eliminated in June, 2008?
Upon elimination of the loophole the price of Light Crude Oil (CL, NYMEX) plummeted from $147 per barrel in June 2008 to about $38 per barrel by late November of 2008. This was not coincedence.

I trade these markets. Transparency is the key to an efficient free market system. This is why electronic energy trading has been coined "The Dark Market". We can't have liberty, freedom, a strong democracy & economic prosperity without this transparency.

Your frustration about our government is warranted. Government should not operate in secrecy...nor should the commodities markets.

Ken,

Great job with the site. I appreciate the time and effort you've invested.

I'm 50 years old but just now starting to take notice to what is going on in our government. I've been reading quite a bit, digging in to learn as much as I can. Watching a lot of C-SPAN. Sending e-mails to my elected officials on issues that I feel strongly about. Long overdue.

I discovered your site while doing a google search for information on Pelosi and the power & influence she wields. Your site did not disappoint. Excellent work.

I should mention that I am still trying to sort out where I am in the political spectrum; I'm a work in progress. I definitely agree with the views you have shared here and appreciate the information you've provided. The feel and tone of this blog seems like a great match for the issues that concern me and my stance on them.

Thanks again for tellin' it like it is.

All The Best,

Mike

I have read two different ways the new wizard Obama is going change the taxing of household income of $250,000 or more. Before wages are taking out $250,000 gross and then after expenses? Please explain if you could.

In regard to your article Democrats out politician the Republicans... dated October 5, 2008, I believe you have a misprint in paragraph 9 - ... Clinton administration, circa 2004, - I believe 2004 is incorrect since that was during the Bush admin. Shouldn't it be circa 1994?

Ken you sound a lot like someone I know that has the same ideas. He too has had enough from congress and decided to run for congress against Tom Feeney (the incumbent) in district 24 as the best and only choice for Republicans in the primary.

Here is his website www.votejdavis.com and I think you both should get together because you both have the same convictions towards this great country of ours. Thank you for sharing your site and I am sure to pass it on.
