Iraqi Government – takes control!

In early April, I wrote about the near autonomous step up in Iraqi army activity against the militias – specifically Sadr’s militia supported by Iran. The push was not well publicized by the MSM, unless to put it in a bad light. The emphasis was more on the poor job the Iraqi army was doing and the need for US help, and not on what the event meant. For Iraq to finally take on the militias and then Al Qaeda in an autonomous manner, and do it successfully, our Iraq journey has finally crossed over the hump and is on the downward slope. This foray into Sadr City, and previously into Basra, now positively being reported by The New York Times in Iraqi Troops Make Push to Regain Control of Sadr City is a sign that the news is so good that the Times is not able to slant it. In fact, since the article is as positive as it is, the news must be even better than reported. The long running play in Iraq is coming to an end. It is Iraq – the finale!
