“The tsunami of problems we face as a country today is knee buckling. ” I believe we are now well past the knee buckle and are preparing our coffins.

Obama took absolutely none of your advice. but then neither did Congress bother to listen to the “mobs” at the tea party rallies, town halls, marches on Washington and phones/faxes/emails overwhelming the systems so we really shouldn’t fault the President for being deaf, blind and stupid also.

I actually like this one.
However, instead of decreasing corparate or business taxes to become more competive or increase blue collar jobs in the US maybe we could decrease top pay and instead of paying multi million dollar salaries we could simply pay thousands of dollars. Maybe you could investigate what these top CEO’s are making (and aho set these standards) and how much tax they pay and get back to me. Let’s see how they live. And while your add it, make a spreadsheet with the amounts that trickle down to the masses. I’d really be interested on your take of how the working class man benefits from the sraps of the CEO and how his sacrafices and good will will increase twofold if his taxes were decreased. And please spare me the lecture on how the business owner makes jobs and creates happiness….he wants a profit and he needs workers to provide that.

Mr. Franzese, in case you haven’t noticed we are no longer self sufficient as a nation. You have apparently had some of the Democratic Party “Kool-Aid” about – Corporations bad and government good. Have you noticed that a major segment of our corporations are multi-national? They are already competing internationally, but the profit does not come to these shores. We have no choice but to make an environment for our businesses, both small and large, to compete internationally, this will create jobs – long lasting jobs – jobs that create wealth. Government jobs do not create wealth they steal wealth. We cannot make trade agreements that are protectionist because we will experience the same from other nations, making it harder for us to buy foreign goods – if you have not noticed we do not make very much today in this country. Not all the world offers $0.60 per hour jobs.

DON’T BE SO SIMPLISTIC THERE IS NO COMPETEING WITH OVER SEAS LABOR
THE QUEST FOR MORE AND MORE INVESTOR PROFITS HAS DONE IN CORPORATE CAPITALISM AND ITS NOT MENDABLE AS IT CURRENTLY EXISTS!!
