Sounds confusing, doesn’t it. The cry around this country to “get those dastardly corporations – they are the cause of all our troubles” is so misplaced that it is almost like saying don’t put prisoners in prisons, because prisons are unsafe because there are too many dangerous people in prison.
Have I now cleared all this [...]

The Media – the problem, not the solution?

MSNBC’s debate last evening focused on three themes. The health insurance debate, of which there is little difference between the plans of Senators Clinton and Obama, non-issue oriented questions of both moderators, and how NAFTA is ruining Ohio. First, the loss of jobs in Ohio is tied to the extensive use of technology in manufacturing, [...]
NAFTA means lost jobs – probably not!

If you listen to Senators Obama and Clinton, mostly Obama you would think that NAFTA was a pact with the devil. Supposedly it is the ruination of the manufacturing sector in the United States. Could this wisdom offered by Senator Obama and the claimed experience of Senator Clinton be flat out wrong?

One of the prominent Democrats creating the stalemate in the Senate on the consent of appointees is Barack Obama.

Deep recession, job loss, and retirement savings loss are the current drivers of the challenges to the economy right now. Our new President is receiving a great deal of good will driven by populism to move our country out of the current recession. The far left has an agenda to move this country into the socialism and is also providing a wave of support for him, assisted by the media. The current pork laden, earmarks on steroids bill being discussed in Congress labeled an economic stimulus bill by the far left is an example of the left trying to sneak it’s agenda through, at a time when we desperately need a tightly targeted stimulus and jobs bill, only. President Obama has now put his shoulder behind this non-stimulus spending behemouth of a bill – it appears he may be part of this far left agenda. This non-stimulus behemouth filled with social engineering might very well be the Trojan Horse used by the far left to move this country into socialism. Our far left leadership appears to be riding the wave of populism to establish this nation as a socialist nation.
Obama, Clinton, and McCain – it’s the trade deficit!

One weighty solution to this country’s ills is to strengthen the economy through trade – good, fair, positive trade. Since 1990, for 18 years covering both Bush and the Clinton administrations, we have had a growing balance of trade deficit. This trade deficit has been a driving force in eliminating good paying jobs [...]

We should set up a “Deportometer”. It could record the number of times we send someone back to his or her home country. The “Deportometer” can be a little device that mounts on an illegal alien’s belt, just like a pedometer. After all, if we are going to repeatedly spend tax [...]

The current NATO tug of war with Germany about sending additional troops to Afghanistan is surreal. Defense Secretary Gates has stated that Afghanistan is in need of additional troops and he believes that NATO can do more. Currently the heavy lifting is being done in the south of Afghanistan by Canada, the [...]

I like many Americans earnestly desire our troops out of Iraq as quickly as possible. I also want to leave Iraq a better place than we found it – we owe the Iraqi people as much. Whether one agrees or not with our entry into Iraq, we did enter, we did break the [...]

Wiretapping, the economy, Iraq, Afghanistan, trade deficits, weak dollar, illegal immigration, health care, tainted imports from China and many other serious problems face this nation and our Congress. Congress can’t seem to find the time to work on the immigration matter after the last immigration almost amnesty bill was shelved, yet it can find time [...]

One would think that after years of machination regarding illegal immigration and attempts to seal the borders the Federal Government would understand that improving the LEGAL immigration infrastructure apparatus goes hand in hand with sealing the border. Well they still don’t get it! Why is this? Without doing any research, it would [...]
Can the U.S. afford to be the World’s Super Power?

We take the size and might of this nation for granted all too often. What made us a super power was our military, our economy, and the weakened status of other nations. After the cold war ended and we found ourselves with a strong economy, a built up military, and the only nation in the [...]
A Democratic Strategist – A Republican Strategist?

It seems that you can’t turn on the TV these days without a news talk or political opinion show bringing on a strategist. These folks happily tell us what they think will happen, argue with the other side, or among themselves on the same side of the political spectrum. Since there seem [...]

February 20, 2008 – the U.S. Military is now stating that these two women did not have Down Syndrome, that they were under psychiatric care. Apparently, my concern about misuse of people with Down Syndrome is now unfounded.
